The Happy Dog Hotel Joins the Festival of Trees

The holiday spirit is officially here and The Happy Dog Hotel was excited to take part in this year’s Festival of Trees at the Southeastern Railway Museum!

The event brought together local businesses, families, and community partners to kick off the season with creativity, giving, and plenty of Christmas magic.

Our team proudly set up a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, complete with warm golden lights, festive ornaments, and a cheerful holiday display featuring a playful pup statue dressed in holiday cheer. The museum’s vintage TELEPHONE booth backdrop and glowing Christmas décor made the perfect setting for photos and we loved capturing a few special moments during the event.

Santa Arrives by Train

One of the highlights of the celebration was Santa’s grand arrival by train on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 PM. Families enjoyed the chance to meet Santa and take pictures, thanks to an onsite photographer capturing memories all afternoon.

Celebrating Local Businesses

The Festival of Trees also recognizes the generous, community-minded businesses that sponsor and decorate company-branded Christmas trees each year. We’re grateful to be part of this wonderful tradition that brings local organizations together to support the museum and spread holiday joy.

Dayna Dean has dedicated her career to working with dogs, bringing more than 28 years of experience in canine care, including 19 years as a professional groomer. She earned her biology degree from Georgia State University, with a focus on microbiology and animal behavior, knowledge she incorporates into every aspect of her grooming approach. Dayna’s career path has taken her from veterinary hospitals to establishing herself as a highly skilled professional groomer. Along the way, she has mentored and trained numerous groomers across Northeast Georgia, helping them grow into confident and successful professionals.
